Ingredients:  
1 c uncooked rice ( I use Uncle Ben’s converted rice)
Veg. oil
1/2 c chopped onion
1/2 c chopped bell pepper
2 1/2 c water
1 1/2 t salt
1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
1 - 2 t chili powder to taste ( I like more)
1/4 t garlic powder

Directions:
Directions:
Coat skillet with oil. Cook and stir rice and onion until rice is brown and onion is tender. Stir in all remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until rice is tender.
