4 slices of bread, torn into small pieces
2 cups milk or heavy cream
1/4 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs, slightly beaten
cinnamon (1-2 tsp.)

Preheat oven to 350º

Butter a 9x9 pan on bottom and all sides.
In a mixing bowl, combine all wet ingredients throroughly.
Add bread cubes and slightly mix making sure all bread is coated. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Let sit for approximately 15 minutes.

Place pan in another pan which is slightly larger. Add hot water to the larger pan (making a hot water bath approximately 2 inches deep).

Plaece in oven and cook for 40-50 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.

Let cool on wire rack completely.
Refrigerate any leftovers.

I have added 1/2 cup dried cranberries, walnuts, dried apple slies, raisins, etc.
This is so versitile. Just be sure not to add fresh fruits. The natural juices in the fruit will keep the pudding from setting.
