1 cup Sugar
1 cup Molasses
1/4 cup Water
2 tablespoons Butter
1 cup Brown Sugar, firmly packed
1 tablespoon Vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
1. Combine ingredients, blending well.
2. Place over low heat until sugar is dissolved then raise heat and cook without stirring until a drop forms a hard ball when dropped in cold water.
3. Remove from heat, add a few grains of salt and 1/2 teaspoon soda; blend well.
4. Pour into well greased, shallow pan and allow to stand until cool enough to handle.
5. Pull with fingertips until candy is light in colour, has lost it's shine and is firm to hold it's shape.
6. Pull into long thin rope and cut with scissors, 1/2 inch wide.
7. Wrap in wax paper and twist.
