1/4 cup olive oil
1 cut up chicken
2 onions, sliced
3 cloves garlic, sliced
1 clove garlic, minced
1 one-pound can tomatoes
1 eight-ounce can tomato sauce
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp celery seed
1 tsp crushed dried oregano
2 bay leaves
1/2 cup dry white wine

Directions:

Heat oil in large deep skillet. Brown chicken. Remove chicken and keep hot. Cook onions and garlic in oil in skillet until tender. Add other ingredients, except white wine, and blend. Cook 5 minutes and return chicken to skillet. Cover and simmer 45 minutes. Add wine and cook uncovered for 15 minutes.

Arrange on hot platter.

Skim excess fat from sauce and remove bay leaves.

Pour sauce over chicken.
