Date Filling:
1 cup Chopped Dates
1 tablespoon Brown Sugar
1/2 cup Water

Crumb Mixture:
1 cup Flour
1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
1/8 teaspoon Salt
1 cup Butter
1 cup Brown Sugar, lightly packed
2 cups Rolled Oats

Directions:
Directions:
Date Filling:
1. Bring ingredients to a boil and cook until dates are soft enough to be mashed with a fork (about 5 minutes). Set aside to cool.

Crumb Mixture:
1. Blend together flour, baking soda and salt. Cut in butter.
2. Blend in brown sugar and rolled oats.
3. Press half of the mixture over bottom of 8 inch square pan.
4. Cover evenly with cooled date filling and cover with remaining mixture and pat until smooth.
5. Bake in preheated oven at 325 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until light golden brown.
