5 pounds all purpose Flour, 10 teaspoons Baking Powder, 7 cups Sugar, 2 pounds Crisco, 5 Eggs, 1 ounce Vanilla, Milk, 1 cup Water, 1 pound chopped Pecans, 3 pounds Sesame Seeds

Preheat oven to 375. In a large mixing bowl, add flour, baking powder and Crisco. In a medium mixing bowl, beat the eggs then add sugar, vanilla and water. Combine the two bowls and add the pecans. Cover the mixture with a damp cloth. Prepare the counter with flour. Roll cookies into rolls then cut into 1 inch logs. Roll in milk, then sesame seeds. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and flatten top with your finger. Bake in 375 degree oven for about 15 minutes. After cooling, store in airtight containers.

As a kid, I helped Gramma Lena make these so many times. She made them for St. Joseph's Day Altars and for Christmas. I brought the tradition to our family and you have been making these since you were a little tyke. They are very addictive and most recently known as "crack cookies".
