Directions:Mix all the ingredients for the meatballs in a large bowl. Smell it and if it smells like it needs more cheese, add it. Keep hands slightly wet while rolling them into balls. Fry them in a mixture of very hot 1/2 vegetable oil and 1/2 olive oil. Drain them in a bowl with paper towels until ready to place in gravy. In a large frying pan, cook down the parsley, celery, onions and garlic. Add the tomato paste and sugar. Transfer this to a large pot then add the sauce and puree. Fill each can of tomato product used with about 1/2 of water, then place in the pot. Bring to a boil then reduce to low. Add your meatballs and continue to cook on low for about 1 1/2 hours. Serve over pasta with Romano cheese. |
