3 cups tart cherries
1/2 cup tart cherry juice
3 T corn starch
1 cup sugar
1 t fresh lemon juice
1 egg plus 1 T water for egg wash
course sugar for dusting
1 pkg refrigerated pie crust

Directions:
pit cherries using a straw....it works!
put cherries in large sauce pan and add lemon juice
in another pan mix cherrie juice, sugar and cornstarch tie there are no lumps
add the juice mix to the cherries, bring to a low boil and heat for 1 to 2 minutes till thick

cut out circles using large circle cookie cutter with orange handle
put generous 1 tablespoon on cherrie mixture on circle and pinch
wash with egg and sprinkle generously with course sugar

bake at 350 for about 15 minutes
