1 c half and half cream
¼ c sugar
½-1 tsp vanilla extract
4 c coarsely crushed ice cubes
¾ c salt

In a small resealable plastic bag, combine the cream, sugar and vanilla. Press out air and seal In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the ice, and salt, add the sealed small bag. Seal the large bag, place in another large resealable plastic bag and seal. Shake and knead for 5-7 minutes or until cream mixture is thickened. Serve immediately or freeze.

Mix in favorite toppings such as berries or sprinkles, cake or whipped cream.

When Dalton was young and would visit Aunt Tracey, this was one of his favorites. This is a "hand-on" recipe that lets the kids create their own ice cream and it doesn't leave a mess to clean up. It creates lots of giggles and smiles all around.
