20-oz can crushed pineapple, with juice
1/2 c all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 c sugar
2 T salted butter
4 large apples, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch cubes
8 oz (1 c) Cool Whip or real whipped cream
Chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Mix first four ingredients and cook until thick. Remove from heat; stir in butter; and cool. Stir apple pieces into cooled mixture. Place in serving dish; top with Cool Whip and chopped pecans.
