Directions:
Dissolve yeast and 1 tsp sugar in ¼ cup warm water. Into a large, heavy sauce pan, measure sugar, salt, butter/margarine and milk. Heat until sugar is dissolved and butter is melted. Pour into mixing bowl. Cool to lukewarm. Add the beaten eggs and the dissolved yeast. Add approximately 4 cups of flour and beat well. Remove dough from pan and knead; add remaining flour as needed. Return kneaded dough to bowl. Cover, and let rise until doubled in size. Punch dough down and on lightly floured board, shape into loaf or rolls, as desired. Place in greased loaf pan or on baking sheet. Let dough rise until dough. Preheat oven to 375º for a loaf or 400º for rolls. Bakes until golden brown.
