1/4 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 cup banana liqueur
1/4 cup dark rum
4 scoops vanilla ice cream
4 bananas, cut in half lengthwise and then halved
Directions:

This one takes some effort, but is worth every bit of it.
1. Combine the butter, brown sugar and cinnamon in a skillet or flambe pan.
2. Place pan over low heat and stir until the sugar is dissolved.
3. Stir in the banana liqueur and add the bananas.
4. When the bananas start to brown and soften, slowly add in the dark rum.
5. The rum will heat up quickly, and when ready, lean back and slowly tip the pan to one side. The sauce will pool up on one side of the pan which will ignite the rum. COOL!
6. Once the rum ignites, flatten the pan back out and shake the pan back and forth until the rum burns off.
7. Remove the bananas and sauce from the pan and place over the ice cream.
8. Enjoy immediately!

This is a New Orleans original. It was created at the famous Brennan's restaurant.
The last time we made this, we ate it so quick that we forgot to take a picture of the finised dish. So a flambe picture will have to do.
