4 large eggs
¼ cup lukewarm water
1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1 tsp. Baking powder
Grated rind of 1 lemon

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour with baking powder.

Take ½ cup sugar and mix with egg yolk and beat till mixture is light and fluffy; add ¼ cup warm water, beat, then slowly add flour and baking powder mixture.

Take the other ½ cup sugar and slowly add to egg whites while beating. Beat till stiff.

Then slowly fold yolk/flour mixture into egg white mixture. Pour into greased and floured tube pan and bake at 350º for about 30 to 40 minutes.
