1 tsp. baking powder
¼ cup sugar
A little lemon juice
1 whole egg
½ stick of butter (4Tbs.)
Italian Plums (2-3 lbs)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix butter, sugar and eggs; then add flour which has been sifted with the baking powder. Roll out dough, or press into cake pan. ( I find it easier to press the dough into the pan).

Toss halved plums with sugar and lemon juice. Arrange halved plums skin side down in a circle all around a spring form pan. Bake at 375º for about 45 minutes or until done.

Make a topping of sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle on top of cake while cake is still hot.

Cool cake on wire rack.

Personal Notes:
Omi got this recipe from her friend Martha Siegmund back in the 1960s. It has been a family favorite since then.
