1 cup raisins
2 cups water
½ cup margarine
1 cup sugar
1 beaten egg
1¾ cup flour
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. nutmeg
½ tsp. cloves
½ tsp. cinnamon
rounded tsp. soda
nuts, optional

Directions:
Directions:
Boil raisins in water 10 minutes. Add margarine. Cool. Add remaining ingredients. Bake in 9" x 13" pan 30 minutes at 350º F.
