Cake:
2 c. sugar
1 c. oil
3 eggs
2 c. flour
tsp. nutmeg
tsp. allspice
pinch of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. cooked apples
1 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. buttermilk

Buttermilk Frosting:
c. butter
c. sugar
c. buttermilk
tsp. baking soda

Directions:

Cake:
Combine all ingredients. Bake in a 9x13 inch pan at 300 for 45 minutes or until cake turns loose from pan.

Buttermilk frosting:
Mix all ingredients together in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and pour over cake. You can use coconut pecan frosting.
