1½ lbs potatoes, peeled and cut lengthwise into quarters
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup milk
½ stick butter

Directions:
Directions:
Cover peeled, cut potatoes with cold, salted water, bring to a boil, simmer until fork tender (about 30 minutes)

Melt butter and milk together in the microwave.

Drain water from potatoes.

Begin mixing with mixer and add milk/butter to desired consistency. Beat the dickens out of them until they are smooth and creamy.

Salt and pepper to taste.

**Let the kids sample them so you will know if they are just right.
