Ingredients:  
1 qt. canned salmon or trout
½ medium onion, chopped fine
1 egg
¾ c. (or more as needed) cracker meal

Directions:
Directions:
Shred salmon or trout removing bones. Mix egg. Combine onion, fish, egg and ½ c. cracker meal to form patties. Press patties in plain cracker meal to coat evenly. Fry in skillet on medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes on each side. Served with tartar or seafood cocktail sauce.

Note:Granny liked to crush saltines and mix with seasoned bread crumbs. Served with French fries.
