1 C. corn meal (coarse ground is better)
C. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
tsp. salt
1 C milk
1 Egg
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
+ extra vegetable oil

Directions:
Directions:
Put cast iron skillet in oven and heat to 425.
Mix dry ingredients together. Mix liquid ingredients together and add to dry. Mix well.
Add about 2 T veg oil to piping hot pan and spread over pan.
Pour corn bread batter into pan and return to the oven.
Bake 18 to 20 minutes.
