2 lbs. round or sirloin steak cut in 2" strips 2 cloves minced garlic
1 large bell pepper
1 large onion
2 T. oil
2 cloves minced garlic
1 large can diced tomatoes (Italian flavored)
1/2 c. red wine
1/2 c. beef bullion
1 packet brown gravy mix
2 T. worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
1 T. Italian Seasoning
Salt and Pepper to taste

Brown the steak in oil. Cut onion and bell pepper into 2 inch pieces. Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic to pan. Cook for 5 minutes. Add tomatoes. Mix remaining ingredients together and add to pan. Salt and pepper to taste. Cover and simmer 30 minutes if using sirloin steak and 50-60 minutes if using round steak. Thicken if needed with 1 T corn starch mixed into 3 T water. Serve over rice or noodles

If you taste this about mid-way through the simmering time you can make any adjustments needed in the seasoning. Jackie likes to season with some chili powder which takes this in a different direction from mine. I think hers is a little more southwestern and mine is more Italian.
