3-4 pound whole frying chicken
salt and pepper
1 tsp. poultry seasoning
1/4 tsp. basil (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Wash chicken and pat dry. Sprinkle cavity with salt, pepper and poultry seasoning. Put in slow cooker. Sprinkle with basil. Cover and cook on low 8-10 hrs (or high 4-6 hrs) or until tender. Remove carefully and serve.
Meat may be removed from bone, chilled and used for chicken salad.
