Ingredients:

2 cups milk, scalded
1/2 cup shortening
2/3 cup sugar
2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp crushed cardamon seed
1/4 tsp cinnamon
2 cakes yeast
1/4 cup lukewarm water
2 eggs, beaten
4 cups flour
1 cup white raisins (golden)
1 cup shredded citron
1 cup Maraschino cherries, chopped
4 cups flour

Directions:

Directions are not included, but this was probably combined and poured into a greased can/bowl,then boiled in a pot of water for at least 1 hour and served with a hard sauce. Vary fruits to taste. Use cardamon seed sparingly
