1 c. sugar
1/4 c. flour
1/2 c. juice from cherries
3 1/2 c. cherries
1 tbsp. butter
4 drops almond extract

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, flour and 1/4 tsp. salt. Stir in juice. Cook over medium heat until thick; cook 1 minute more. Add cherries, butter, almond extract and 10 drops red food coloring. Let stand. Make pastry. Place in 9" pie pan. Vent top.

Bake at 450 for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 and bake 45 minutes more.
