½ cup butter
1 cup sugar
3 egg yolks
4 Tablespoons sour cream
1 cup mashed bananas (about 3 ripe bananas)
2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
3 egg whites

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, sugar and eggs. Beat in sour cream and mashed bananas. Add flour, soda, baking powder and salt. Beat egg whites until stiff. Fold stiff egg whites into batter. Pour into 9x13 inch greased and floured pan. Bake at 350º for 25 to 30 minutes.
Frosting:
Frost with Cream cheese frosting, or Peanut butter frosting.

Mother would make peanut butter frosting for this cake. She dated this recipe from 1950 in Parsons, Kansas.
