1 - 7 ounce package of shredded coconut
1 teaspoon vanilla
2/3 cup Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk

Combine the three ingredients and mix well. Shape into balls. Baked on greased cookie sheets (it is better to use parchment paper for these cookies, because they get very sticky and make the sheet hard to clean) for 15 minutes at 350º.

Grandma Mary gave me this recipe, and as you know, it is a Christmas classic in our house. On the recipe card she gave me, she wrote: "Mrs. Truman served these at some White House gatherings."
