5/6 Ham Hocks
1 Ham Steak
2 lb. Onion (chopped)
5 Gal Water
Ham Base to taste
Garlic (minced) to taste
10 lb. (dry) pinto beans
Liquid Smoke to taste in broth
Black pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
1. Boil the ham hocks and ham steaks till meat starts to fall off the bone. Remove from bone and cut into bite sized pieces.
2. Add onion to broth and bring to a boil.
3. Remove the meat from the bone.
4. Add beans to kettle and boil till softened. (have to test)
5. Season the broth to your personal taste.
6. Add meat back in last to prevent it from getting stringy.


For a supper meal: (8-10 bowls)
1 lb. beans
1 Gal water
1 Ham Hock
