1 cup grits and 2 cups water
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups half and half
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
2 pounds shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 pinch cayenne pepper
1 lemon, juiced
1 pound andouille sausage, sliced
5 slices bacon
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 red bell pepper, chopped
1 yellow bell pepper, chopped
1 onion, chopped
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 cup chicken broth
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup flour

Directions:
Directions:
Bring grits, water & salt to boil. Stir in half & half, simmer for 15-20 minutes.
Sprinkle shrimp with salt, cayenne pepper & lemon juice. Microwave 3-4 minutes.
Brown andouille sausage. Cook bacon, crumble & save drippings.
Cook peppers, onions & garlic in bacon drippings.
Combine sausage, bacon & vegetables in large pot.
Cook butter & flour to make a smooth brown paste, 8-10 minutes.
Pour butter mixture into pot & add chicken broth & Worcestershire sauce.
Add microwaved shrimp at serving time.
To serve, mix sharp cheddar cheese into warmed grits and spoon shrimp on top.
