There is so much I could say about reflections. I have only been in for a short time, 2 years I believe. Reflections has been such a blessing in my life. I have always loved singing and have always wanted to find a place where I could “belong.” When I was a little girl my mom and grandma both sang in groups. I always thought they were so fun and always wanted to do something like that. I was so excited when I saw the post about reflections try outs on Facebook. It took me about a year to talk myself into trying out. Mostly because I didn’t think I was good enough. So when I saw a new post a year later about try outs again I knew I needed to do it. During the time I’ve been in reflections I have gained many sweet and close friends. Everyone accepted me into their “group” just like I was one of them. I have learned so much about singing and music from Beth and many other sweet women. Thank you all for teaching me, accepting me and loving me!! Reflections has been a safe haven for me in some very trying times. I knew that everything would get better once I stepped into practice. Singing music, lifting up our voices together in praise and music has been an amazing experience for me. Coming to reflections every week is like my get-a-way from the world and all the stresses in it. Thank you everyone for all the love and compassion you have shown towards me. For taking me under your wing and teaching me. Thank you Beth for always encouraging me and teaching me more about the things I wanted to learn. For helping me to gain confidence about myself and my voice. For teaching me to learn to stand up and sing solos. I have always wanted to be able to sing solos but have been scared because when I was younger I was told I was not very good. Thank you everyone encouraging me to try and know that no matter what happens or how bad I fail I am always loved.

Reflections holds a special place in my heart and I hope will always be my safe haven from the world where we can lift our voices in love and friendship together and continue to feel of each other’s love.
