6 cups old fashioned oats, uncooked
1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
3/4 cup wheat germ
1/4 cup honey
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup sesame seeds
1/4 cup raw sunflower seeds
1/2 cup vegetable oil'1/2 cup flaked or shredded coconut

Directions:

Heat oats in a ungreased 13 x 9 baking pan in 350 degree oven for 10 minutes. Combine oats, brown sugar, wheat germ, coconut, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds and nuts. Add oil, honey, and vanilla. Mix until dry ingredients are well coated. Divide oat mixture into equal parts and bake in ungreased 13 x 9 pan in 350 degree oven for 15-20 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes to brown evenly, Cool. Stir until crumbly. Store in covered container in refrigerator. Serve with milk or yogurt. I got this recipe from the Egin, Idaho /ward Cookbook when I was a girl.
