2 quarts drained pears (save liquid)
1 small can pineapple, crushed
1 small can pineapple tidbits
1/4 tsp salt
2 to 3 drops lemon extract
1/2 cup cornstarch, mix well with 1/2 cup water
3/4 cup sugar
yellow food coloring (optional)

Directions:

Dice and drain fruit. Combine fruit, sugar, salt in sauce pan and bring to boil. Thicken with cornstarch mixture. Remove from heat and add fruit, extract and food color. Cool before making pie.
