Cake:
1 white cake mix
1-1/4 cups water
1/3 cup oil
1 whole egg
3 eggs whites
1 package Dream Whip

Icing:
4 Tablespoons meringue powder
2/3 cup water
4 cups sifted confectioner's sugar
7-1/2 more cups sifted confectioner's sugar
1-1/4 cups white crisco
1/2 teaspoon salt
1-1/4 teaspoons flavoring of your chose

Cake:
Mix all ingredients and bake.

Icing:
Beat the meringue powder and water until peaks form. Then add 4 cups confectioner's sugar, one cup at a time. Then add 7-1/2 more cups confectioner's sugar alternately with the crisco. Add salt and flavoring. Keeps several weeks in refrigerator. Makes 8 cups.
