Cake:
3 cups cake flour
1 cup crisco
2 cups sugar
3/4 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1-1/2 cups banana (3-4)

Frosting:
1 (3-ounce) package cream cheese
3 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup nuts, optional

Cake:
Sift flour and soda together. Cream the crisco and sugar, add a little of the buttermilk and eggs alternately with the flour mixture.

Fold in bananas. Bake at 350º for 20-30 minutes.

Frosting:
Cream the cheese. Add powdered sugar and rest of ingredients. Mix to blend well.
