1 C. Sugar 1 tsp. Baking Soda
½ C. Shortening 1 tsp. Baking Powder
¾ C. Milk ½ tsp. Salt
1 Egg 3 C. Flour
1 tsp. Vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
(Add more flour as needed to make a stiff dough) Cream shortening, sugar & egg. Add vanilla, milk and then dry ingredients. When stiff enough roll out sprinkle with sugar. Cut in medium size cookies and bake in 350 degree oven for 10 min. Secret don’t roll to thin. I add the flour as needed per batch into the dough to make it stiff rather than all up front.
