Sauce:
1 cup finely chopped onions
2 cups chili sauce
- (can also use 1c.chili sauce & 1c.barbecue sauce)
2 cups ketchup
2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp soy sauce
4 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
2 Tbsp fresh lime
½ cup vinegar
¼ cup brown sugar (packed)
4 Tbsp honey
4 -6 cloves garlic (minced)

6 - 8 lbs spareribs

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all the sauce ingredients in a saucepan and simmer for 30 min.
The sauce can be made ahead of time and refrigerated.
Preheat oven to 300º Place some ribs then some sauce in a large roasting pan, repeat until all ribs are covered with the sauce.
Cover with aluminum foil and cook for 2 hours.
Raise the heat to 450º Remove the foil and cook for another 30 min, turning once. Alternately you can finish cooking them on the barbecue (use a silicone barbecue mat to keep the sauce from burning).
Cut into 2 or 3 sections and serve.
