5 lbs. Chopped fresh, blemish free crisp apples
Water and sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Chop apples, leaving skin on but removing the core .Measure the chopped apples and add 1/2 as much water as apples. ( 1c. apples-1/2 cup water) Or a combination of cider vinegar and water.
Cook down to a thick sauce. Strain out skins and solids.
Measure liquid and add 1/2 as much sugar as liquid. (1 c. apple liquid-1/2 cup sugar)
Boil until the consistency of jam. Can in 1/2 pint jars.

Great on toast or in a peanut butter sandwich!
