Cook to 280º the following:
3 cups sugar
1 cup white Karo syrup
½ cup water

At 280º, add 3 cups raw Spanish peanuts (1½ bags)
Cook to 305º
Remove from heat
Add: 2 Tablespoon oleo
Stir until melted.
Add quickly:
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon baking soda
Stir quickly.

Directions:

Pour out onto 2 greased cookie sheets. Allow it to run freely.
Do not shake or stretch.
Set until cool, then break up.
