1 package of fresh cranberries.
1 cup sugar
1 large navel orange washed off
1 tablespoon grated orange peel, Zest.
1 large package of black cherry, cherry or strawberry Jello. If you can find it use Cranberry jello.
1 small container of heavy whip cream sweetened and whipped
¼ to ½ cup pecans chopped

Mix Jello as directed. Place in refrigerator. Wash and clean cranberries. Remove stems and any soft cranberries and dispose. Grind cranberries in food processor or grinder. Wash orange and zest 1 tablespoon of orange peel. Peel orange and remove seeds and place orange wedges in processor or chopper and chop up when chopping up cranberries. Add sugar and zest to chopped cranberries and orange. If Jello is not ready put cranberry mixture in the refrigerator. Take jello out of the refrigerator when it is thickened, but not congealed. Add Cranberry/Orange/sugar/zest mixture. Add ½ cup chopped pecans. Put back in refrigerator. Whip heavy cream with ¾ cup sugar. Pour over congealed cranberry mixture.
*Mother sprinkled silver candies on top.

A favorite at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Mother, LaVetas,would want this jello in front of her place at the dinner table, and watch everyone that took a spoonful.
