½ cup all purpose flour
¼ teaspoon baking powder
½ cup sugar
½ cup quick oats
⅓ cup butter
2 Tablespoons evaporated milk
2 Tablespoons corn syrup
1 Tablespoon vanilla
*optional 1 cup chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, baking powder, sugar and oats in a bowl.
In a small saucepan over low heat melt butter, remove from heat.
Add evaporated milk, syrup and vanilla.
Add to flour mixture, and stir well. Optional add 1 cup chopped pecans.
Drop by rounded spoonful at least 4 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at preheated oven 375º until lacey and brown about 8 minutes.
Remove from oven and let cookie cool for 1 minute then remove with wide metal spatula. Place cookie on rack to cool. Store in tight lidded tin box or plastic container.
