2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1/2 cup shortening or margarine
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup warm water

Beat sugar, eggs and shortening until creamy and white. Mix cocoa and warm water and mix well. Add to creamy mixture.

Then add:
1/2 cup milk
1 1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
chopped nuts

Grease and flour the pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes in a 9 x 13 inch pan. Frost and sprinkle with nuts on top. This recipe is from Linda Frost, Rexburg, ID. Also fro the Eighteenth Ward Cookbook.
