Ingredients:
Ingredients:
4 cups fresh green beans (you can use frozen or canned - but tastes best with fresh)
2 Tbsp all purpose flour
2 Tbsp butter
salt to taste
black pepper to taste
1 tsp garlic powder
parmesan cheese, grated (if desired)

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare green beans by trimming ends and cutting into desired pieces. Blanch them in salted boiling water until they turn bright green (this should take about a minute.) Shock beans in a bowl of ice water. Melt butter in a 10 inch skillet. Once butter is melted, add flour and seasonings. Whisk until the flour turns a golden brown to make a rue. Add green beans and stir to coat with the flour mixture for about 1 - 2 min or until the flour mixture turns crispy on the beans. Add parmesan cheese on top, if desired. Serve and enjoy :)
