Bottom crust of choice.
Refrigerated puff pastry dough for top crust

6 large Fuji apples, peeled and sliced or chunked
1/2 c sugar
1/2 t cinnamon
1 t lemon juice
1/4 t nutmeg
1 T butter
1 1/2 T flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all the filling ingredients except butter.
Place on bottom crust, mounding in Center.
Dot with small chunks of the butter.
Roll out puff pastry dough. Cut into round to place over pie.
Crimp both crusts together.
Brush top of pie with egg wash, made by beating egg with a bit of water.
Make slits in top of pie so steam can escape.
Bake at 400º for one hour or until crust is browned and raised.

You can cut left over puff pastry dough into holiday shapes, such as leaves, or use a cookie cutter. Place on top of pie and brush with egg wash.
