4 English muffins, split
4 large eggs
Salt and pepper
6 slices bacon
8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese sliced thin

Directions:
Directions:
1. Adjust oven rack 5 inches from broiler element and heat broiler. Arrange muffins split side up on rimmed baking sheet. Toast in oven until lightly browned.

2. Cook bacon in 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium heat until almost crispy, 7 to 9 minutes; transfer to paper towel–lined plate. When cool enough to handle, break or cut each slice in half.

3. Pour off all but 1 tablespoon fat from skillet and heat over medium-high heat until shimmering. Cook eggs until medium done - whites not moving - yolks to your preference.

4. Working quickly, place fried egg on muffin (on rimmed baking sheet), top each egg with bacon and cheddar. Return rimmed bakilng sheet to oven and bake until cheese is melted.

5. Top each sandwich with other half of muffin and serve.
