Meat Filling:
1 lb. ground beef
¾ c. chopped onion
½ clove garlic, crushed
1 tbsp. parsley flakes
½ tsp. sweet basil
½ tsp. oregano
½ tsp. salt
¼ tsp. pepper
1 can (6 oz.) tomato paste
Cheese Filling:
1 c. cottage cheese
1 egg, beaten
¼ c. Parmesan cheese
Crust: 2 cans pillsbury crescent rolls
4 slices Mozzarella cheese
1 tbsp. milk

Meat Filling: In large skillet, brown meat and onions; add remaining ingredients; simmer uncovered 5 minutes.

Cheese Filling: Beat egg; add cottage cheese and parmesan cheese and mix until well blended.

Crust: Unroll 1 can rolls; in a 9 x13 inch oblong baking dish make a bottom crust of the rolls; press edges and perforations to seal; bring the lower crust up the sides of the dish about 1/2 inch. Spread half the meat filling on the crust; top meat filling with cheese filling; spoon remaining meat filling over top, forming 3 layers; place Mozzarella cheese slices over top. Make top crust with second pkg. crescent rolls; unroll one can of rolls between 2 sheets of waxed paper; press edges and perforations to seal; with rolling pin form a smooth surface. Transfer to top of lasagne and seal edges with lower crust; brush with milk; sprinkle with sesame seeds (optional). Bake 25 minutes until golden brown in a 375 degree oven. Lasagna may be prepared ahead of time and covered with plastic wrap and refrigerated for 2-3 hours before baking. Serves 6-8.
