Ingredients: I love Winter - but Spring is beautiful. I find joy in the renewal of life. There is a tree in our yard that was cut down over 50 years ago. In the past year there are 5 new starts from that old stump. That is amazing. That is what music does to our lives, it renews us. Job 14:7 For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease. 8 Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground; 9 Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant. The music is like the scent of water to my soul bringing new life to my spirit. As we perform, I can see our music healing and bringing hope to those tattered souls and parched lives, being renewed and refreshed by our music. It lifts and serves others. I love to hear the birds singing in the trees, I love to see the earth renewing itself. That is what singing in Reflections means to me. I wake up singing the songs you’ve chosen. I love to ‘make a joyful noise’ singing praises every day. There is hope, joy and love for all. I love Reflections because that’s what the music does for me. It brings joy and renewing. It’s love and sisterhood. I feel the joy of the others in the group. As I practice, I remember those around me singing and trying their best to bring joy to others. I love the sound of their voices and getting to know the people. The sisterhood and friendship we have with each other is great. We share one another’s hearts and burdens in our songs. I have been blessed to feel the strength and prayers when I’ve been sick. I have appreciated the welcoming and acceptance of the group. I have also felt the peace, strength, and support as I have prayed for others in our group. I love to watch you, Beth. I love the inspiration, peace and vibrancy you bring to the music. I love the rhythms of the music. The wide variety of the pieces and seeing the program all come together. The music you teach and the joy you bring to each of us. I love watching the peoples faces and seeing their happiness. The spirit that you bring to each practice and each performance. The laughter and fun and joy you have in sharing your talents with us is unsurpassed. I wish I had joined years ago. There is nothing like singing. We breathe deeply, listening to the music and opening our hearts, this brings oxygen to our minds and lives. Listening to notes, and to each other, we grow closer in tune. We are each strengthened. As we watch you, the director, we feel of your spirit and follow you. We bring greatness to all who hear and participate with us.
