3 large potatoes, peeled and sliced thin
1 large onion, sliced thin
Flour
Salt and pepper
Milk
Butter

Directions:
Directions:
Season flour with salt and pepper. Dredge potato slices in the flour. Layer potatoes and onions in a buttered casserole dish. Add milk to cover. Dot with butter.

Bake at 375º until potatoes are tender, top begins to brown, and sauce thickens.

This is how I remember Mom making scalloped potatoes and it is still the way I do it. You can add grated cheese on top if you want or use some cream in place of the milk for a richer dish.
