1/2 cup Spry (Crisco)
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp grated lemon rind
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 cup sugar
2 well beaten eggs
2 tablespoon milk
2 cups sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Combine Spry, salt, lemon rind, and nutmeg and bled. Add sugar gradually and cream well.
Add beaten eggs and milk and mix well. Add sifted mixture to above.

Then drop by teaspoon on to cookie sheet.
Let stand a few minutes then flatten cookie with bottom of tumbler and damp dish cloth (clean).
Sprinkle with sugar.

Bake 375º for 8-12 minutes.
