1 c sugar
tsp salt
2⅔ c milk
⅓ c butter
c corn starch
3 egg yolks
1 tsp vanilla
1 chocolate squares
1 baked pie shell

Meringue:
3 egg whites
⅓ c sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Bake pie shell at 400 for 8-10 minutes. Blend sugar and chocolate squares. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until mixture thickens and boils. Boil 1 minute. Remove from heat, gradually stir half of hot mixture then mix in with remaining mixture. Add vanilla. Pour into shell. For meringue, beat egg whites with mixer and add ⅓ cup sugar and beat until stiff. Place on top of pie. Put back into oven until meringue browns.
