Directions:9x13-inch pyrex dish
In large Dutch oven, pour in corn syrup. Add granulated sugar. Cook, stirring constantly over low- heat. Take care to gently melt the sugar into the syrup. Don't let it burn!
Once the granulated sugar is dissolved, remove from heat and add peanut butter. Stir around until peanut butter has melted.
Add rice crispies and gently stir to mix well.
Pour mixture into pyrex dish. Pat down to make the surface even and smooth. Set aside.
In double-boiler or microwave, melt all the morsels together. If using a microwave, nuke for 20 to 30 seconds at a time.
Once melted, pour over the top of the rice crispy mix. Smooth with a spatula,
Cover and let set, at least an hour, that is if you can keep yourself out of it!

Notes: Great (Victor Lauderdale) had only 3 desserts that he would walk a mile for. These Rice Crispy Morsels, Cranberry Pie, because he could make it! And banana pudding! When Bert and the boys and I would go to Corpus to visit, I would make 2 batches. One for Great, and one for everyone else. It was odd that both batches were gone before the weekend ended! None of us could walk by it without grabbing a square! It is still a favorite of mine. It is a comfort food for me, it brings back such warm memories of my childhood summers spent with my sissie-poo at my grandparents. As well as many years later when I became a parent and taking my sons to Corpus. Even today, when I arrive and step out of the car for the first time, I smell the sand and ocean and hear the songs of the sea gulls. It is only then, that I know I am truly home. Everything within me takes a deep breath and relaxes.
