½ c shortening
1⅔ c sugar
2 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
2 oz unsweetened chocolate (melted)
2 c flour
2 tsp salt
⅓ c milk
½ c chopped nuts
confectioners sugar (sifted)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Cream together shortening, sugar, and vanilla. Beat in eggs. Beat in chocolate. Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Blend dry ingredients alternately with milk. Add nuts. Chill 3 hours. Form into 1 inch balls. Roll in powdered sugar. Place on greased cookie sheet. Bake for 15 minutes.
