Cherry Pie (or Blackberry) Recipe

2 ½ c berries or 3 c cherries
½ c juice
1 ½ c sugar
¼ c flour for cherry ½ c for blackberry
sprinkle with salt
1 tsp of almond extract (with cherry only)
5 slabs oleo margarine

Pie Crust Ingredients
⅔ c oil
¼ c cold water
2 heaping c flour
1 tsp salt

Directions:

Bake at 325º until good and brown about 45 minutes. Rub 1 tsp milk on crust and sprinkle sugar if wanted.


Crust:
Mix oil and water with a fork. Add flour and salt. Roll out between plastic or wax paper.

One of Jerry's favorite pie's other than minced meat is a cherry pie. He loves them so much he planted cherry trees in his yard and learned to bake his own pies. Now it's also one of the favorite's of his grand kid's as well.

Jerry loved to race in his race car and his children and grandchildren loved to to watch him as well. He and Dr, Crash were the two to watch each week.
